RREHS 101-ASKING “WHY ME”?

Those experiences which leave us broken and hurting, tend to make us feel like the entire universe is turned against us. A broken engagement, a called off wedding, sexual molestation by an uncle/ aunt, the sudden death of a fiancé or fiancée’ or the cold betrayal of our date cheating with our best friends; are capable of stamping a feeling of being hated by life.

I have been through really hurting experiences like you and I know just what it feels like to wonder if there is something wrong with you, when nothing really is.
The excruciating pain of such experiences is the way our spirit knows to react. It is okay to feel pain and it is important that we admit that it is in there. However, it is dangerous to allow the “why me” question take out all the beautiful colours from life.

Whenever my heart asks that question? I take a minute to really look at who I am.  It is in those moments that I see the uniqueness in my existence.

I need you to know that God didn’t write out some of those ugly experiences that happened to you. The devil did. Nevertheless, God wrote out a strategy by which he would beautify you through those ashes.

Why you? It has to be you because you are special. You are separated from commonness. The devil knows that if he did nothing to you, your future would mess him up! So, he did his worse when you got jilted 7 times. He did his worse when you got rejected and abandoned by mum as a baby. He did his worse when you were molested by your primary school teacher.

Howbeit, His worse was God’s best tool for moulding you into his perfect picture of you. It happened because God has a purpose for your life which threatened and still threatens the enemy.

Why you? It had to be you, because you are gold and gold must pass through fire and not get consumed but purified.

Do not permit those ugly experiences to label you desolate.
Embrace a relationship with Jesus today and let him show you His beautiful purpose for your life. That revelation would help you understand why it had to be you.
Rise up from self pity! Jesus loves you and HE HAD A PLAN FOR YOU ALL ALONG!
